During our very successful Herman Miller Week, we engaged with key clients and design professionals around two rather topical subjects, as the current way in which we work continues to evolve:

Designing A Better Tomorrow

With work and life entering a new post-pandemic era, we have a historic opportunity to re-imagine the role of the modern workplace. Oliver Baxter, from the MillerKnoll Insights team, explained how and why you should use this opportunity to renew and refresh your organisational culture, improving the health and productivity of your teams, and fostering a greater sense of belonging among your people.

Reinvigorating Individual Work

In the form of an interactive workshop, Oliver assisted delegates to understand the other side of workplace design — individual work. As organizations emphasize collaboration through the design of their spaces, the needs of the individual worker are becoming under-served. With insightful feedback from research into individual work, five of the most common states of mind users seek to cultivate when accomplishing individual work were identified and explored, outlining design and planning opportunities for satisfying those states of mind.

Feedback from the those who attended and participated has been extremely positive, encouraging us to make this a regular event as we continue to explore new ideas and trends that can optimise the effectiveness of business practice in an ever-changing world.
