Barker Street hosted BuzziSpace for two afternoons of insightful talks and discussion. The two sessions were self-contained so you are able to benefit from two topics that will enlighten you on acoustics.
Part 1 – Acoustics 101 – a theoretical understanding of sound and its impact on our daily life
Our part 1 session is aimed more towards the theory of acoustics for the Architect and Design community.
Gain a better understanding of the importance and impact of sound in daily environments and why acoustics play an integral role in creating spaces for people to feel happy, healthy and closer to nature.
GUEST SPEAKER – RICHARD ELLERBECK
Richard has a major in Psychology with a Minor in Sound Technology at Rhodes University (South Africa). He worked as an acoustic consultant for 7 years with a focus on improving acoustics in a variety of corporate and office settings, before joining BuzziSpace.
Part 2 – The practical application of acoustic products into open plan and meeting rooms
Our part 2 session is geared towards the implementation of acoustic products
Learn how adequate acoustics and lighting play a key role in mental health and physical well-being in open-plan offices and meeting rooms. After this session, proper acoustic treatment should no longer be an afterthought.
GUEST SPEAKER – OLGA VASILYEVA
Olga Vasilyeva gained a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Sciences from the University of Bergamo in Italy, further augmented by a Master’s degree in Sales from Il Sole 24 Business School. Her professional journey started in the realm of Customer Service & Sales Support, during which she expanded her professional network within the Office and Design Industry
